Sorrento Valley – an oasis of natural, coastal landscape
Shown above are beautiful Sorrento Valley's bike paths and natural wonders...
Sorrento Valley is a relatively natural environment nestled in the valley between the Torrey Pine State Park and the beaches of La Jolla and Del Mar, two of the most beautiful village-styled towns on the West Coast. The valley forms a natural waterway where water flows down the Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve to meet the Willow Creek run. They join and then flow out through the marshes of the Torrey Preserve to the Ocean. The area is laced with bicycle paths (map next to photos above). One can stand on the roadside and look across acres and acres of natural open lands and view grassy hillsides and wildlife such as ducks, deer, egrets, herons and rabbits. Plus, there's an amazing ocean view !
The Coaster and the Surfliner commuter trains run through the valley following the scenic waterways into Sorrento Valley to a station next to the crossroads of Sorrento Valley Road and Sorrento Valley Blvd., just across the intersection from Visago-Nico. Our facility, located on the North East corner of the interstection, is surrounded by health oriented business such as the Sorrento Valley Raquetball Courts, Sorrento Valley Yoga, Massage Therapy, MMA Academy and professional offices for counselors, lawyers and printing.
Located less than two miles from the Qualcomm Sorrento Towers complex, we're only 15 minutes from Pacific Beach, Mission Beach, Bay Park, Clairemont and only 19 minutes from downtown San Diego via I-5 and I-805 freeways.
We all view beauty as being in "the eye of the beholder," it's equally true that " we all wear different lenses." So as you're driving on I-5 between Del Mar and La Jolla, let me encourage you to change your lenses by taking a brief jump off the freeway using the Sorrento Valley Road exit or by taking the "Local By-Pass" lane and its Carmel Mountain Road exit (exit 32) so you can see beautiful Sorrento Valley.
